Is Therapy Right For You?

You don't need to have it all figured out to reach out. Consider this a gentle checklist, not a test. If a few of these resonate, it may be worth having a conversation.
Getting Started
You may be ready if:
-
You're caring for someone else and feel like there's no room left for your own needs
-
You're living with a chronic illness and carrying grief, fear, or frustration you haven't had space to process
-
You've experienced a loss and feel like you're expected to have "moved on" already
-
You feel invisible in your grief, like your experience isn't significant enough to talk about
-
You're exhausted, but not sure what would actually help
-
You're worried about retirement or struggling with adjusting to retirement
-
You want a space to explore your emotions and values without judgment
-
You're ready to feel more whole, even if you're not sure what that looks like yet
If any of this sounds familiar, that's enough of a reason to start.
My Approach
I hold an integrative, affirming approach that adapts to you, not the other way around. In our work together, you can expect:
-
A collaborative partnership. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We'll build a path that reflects your goals, values, and pace.
-
Evidence-based tools. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and narrative therapy to support real, sustainable change.
-
A strengths-based lens. Rather than focusing only on what's wrong, we'll also look at what's already working, and build from there.
-
A space rooted in respect. My approach is grounded in social justice, anti-oppression, and multicultural awareness. I honor your full identity, background, and story, without exception.
-
Room for the whole truth. Healing isn't linear, and it doesn't require you to have the right words yet. There's space here for grief, anger, hope, and everything in between.
